- Mathematics: pure mathematics, mechanics and statistics.
- Practical skills in Physics: planning, analysis and evaluation.
- Past papers, mark schemes and the wording examiners reward.
How lessons work
Lessons are one-to-one and online, with shared digital notes and worked examples. We start by finding the gaps, then build a plan around the exam date.
Taught by an examiner
I have marked over 3,500 scripts for Cambridge and OCR since 2022, so I know how answers are assessed and where marks are lost. View my certificates

Exam practice and strategy
Apply your knowledge to practice questions and timed mocks, with good time management.
Good to know, for students and parents
- What it is
- A two-year course for ages 16 to 18: AS Level after the first year, A Level after the second. It is the main route to UK universities.
- Exam boards
- The main boards are Pearson Edexcel, AQA, OCR and Cambridge International. UK schools use Edexcel, AQA or OCR; students abroad usually sit Cambridge International or Pearson Edexcel International A Level (IAL). The content is similar, but papers and mark schemes differ, so the board matters.
- When the exams are
- UK A Levels: once a year, May to June. Cambridge International: May to June and October to November. Pearson Edexcel IAL: January, June and October.
- How many take it
- In summer 2025 there were 112,138 A Level entries in Mathematics, the most of any subject in the UK, 44,957 in Physics and 19,390 in Further Mathematics (JCQ).

A written plan built around your exam date, updated as you improve.
- 3
Mock tests
Timed mock tests under exam conditions, followed by feedback on every lost mark.
- 4
Past papers
Past papers from your exam board, marked against the mark scheme
