IB Physics tutoring for the IB Diploma Programme
A rounded approach to learning, research and critical thinking.

Based in Thessaloniki. Lessons are online, so I teach students in Thessaloniki, Athens, across Greece and abroad.
What we work on
- The five themes of the current IB Physics syllabus: space, time and motion; the particulate nature of matter; wave behaviour; fields; nuclear and quantum physics.
- Problem solving: reading command terms and structuring a full-mark answer.
- The Internal Assessment: choosing a question, collecting data, handling uncertainties and writing up. I guide the method; the work stays your own.
- Past papers and timed practice for the written papers.
Who this is for
- IB Diploma students at HL or SL who want to fill gaps, raise their grade or prepare for the final exams.
- Lessons in English or Greek.
How lessons work
Lessons are one-to-one and online, with shared digital notes and worked examples. We start by finding the gaps, then build a plan around the exam date.
Taught by an examiner
I have marked over 3,500 scripts for Cambridge and OCR since 2022, so I know how answers are assessed and where marks are lost. View my certificates

Good to know, for students and parents
- What it is
- A two-year IB Diploma course for ages 16 to 18, taught at Higher Level (HL) or Standard Level (SL). HL is the more demanding option and many engineering, physics and medicine programmes ask for it.
- When the exams are
- Twice a year, in May and November. Most schools enter students in May; November is used by some schools, mainly in the southern hemisphere, and for retakes.
- How common it is
- The IB is taken by over 200,000 students worldwide each year, and Physics is one of its core science choices.
- Assessment
- Final written papers plus the Internal Assessment, a practical investigation marked by your teacher.

Preparing for international study
Strengthen your study with personal guidance in your IB subjects.
How progress is tracked
Every course includes the same four tools, so you always know where you stand.
- 1
Student assessment
We start with a short diagnostic to see what you already know and where the gaps are.
- 2
Progress plan
A written plan built around your exam date, updated as you improve.
- 3
Mock tests
Timed mock tests under exam conditions, followed by feedback on every lost mark.
- 4
Past papers
IB past papers, marked with the official mark schemes
Questions
Do you teach both HL and SL?
Yes. I teach IB Physics at Higher Level and Standard Level.
Can you help with the Internal Assessment?
Yes. I help with choosing a research question, planning the experiment, analysing data and uncertainties, and structuring the report. The work itself stays the student's own.
Are lessons in English or Greek?
Both. We use whichever language the student prefers.
Can you help with other subjects?
My own subjects are Physics and Maths. If you need help in another subject, send me a message and I will direct you to established colleagues I work with and trust.
